The history of “Pak Global Legal and Research Services” may be traced back in 1960 when late Syed Iftikhar-ul-Hasan, senior advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, started law as a profession. He excelled mainly in civil/contract law and had number of reported cases to his credit.
The firm was renamed as “Pak Global Legal and Research Services” in 1998, with highly qualified law associates at its panel. Today it is in a position to deal with different facets of law including “Intellectual Property Law”. The firm consists of a team of highly qualified and professionally competent individuals, who are motivated to deliver the best to their prospective clients and look after their legal rights to their utmost proficiency.

The members of the Firm’s IP Division come from diverse background including art, science, business & law. Their extensive inside knowledge of the Pakistan IP system, specialized learning and skill has made the firm competent to handle any patent application regardless of its subject matter.
A brief resume of our main members is as under:
Ms. Daf has a master degree in Physics, Diplomas in Computer sciences, certificates in Intellectual Property Law and Medical Technology. She is specialized in the filing, prosecution and other post-grant matters relating to patent, trademarks and designs. She also advises the clients on Intellectual Property Laws, specifically trademarks and patents generally. She has full range of experience dealing with the incoming and outgoing IP cases. Drastic amendments to the Pakistan Patent and Design Laws were effected in the year 2000; she updated clients and patent attorneys about the latest developments via circulars and publications in the CIPA Journal.
Mr. Hasan possesses master degrees in Law and Chemistry. He is gold medalist in Intellectual Property Law. He is specialized in filing and prosecuting Trademarks and Patents applications. An experienced solicitor and law attorney. He looks after the litigation department of the firm. Mr. Hasan is a Law Examiner in the University of the Punjab and visiting lecturer in various Law Colleges of Pakistan.
Ms. Saeed possesses master degree in Biochemistry and certificate in Intellectual Property Law. She has also undertaken a Ph.D. research project on growth hormones. Her responsibilities as a patent attorney involve a wide range of non-contentious IP-matters including registration of patents, trademarks and designs. She is specialized in the filing and prosecutions of the applications in the field of biochemistry, microbiology and genetic engineering. She also has a special interest in chemical and pharmaceutical inventions.
Mr. Rana is a master of law and public administration. He is looking after the legal and administrative affairs of the organization. He is an experienced attorney-at-law and law examiner with the University of the Punjab, Lahore-Pakistan.
Mr. Mehmood is master in statistics. He is the head of the accounts department of the firm. He is also looking after the Administrative affairs of the organization.
Mr. Ahmad is a science graduate with certificates in Textile Designing and Intellectual Property Law. He possesses a considerable on-job experience relating to inventions in Textile Industry. He also handles patent, trade mark and design renewals.
Mr. Arshad Razi
Mr. Razi is a civil engineer. He is specialized in filing and prosecuting of patent and trademark applications and other post-registration matters.
Mr. Rahat Bashir
Mr. Bashir is master in business administration. He handles the post registration matters including patents, trademarks, and designs renewals.
